Impact of Talent Management on Emotional Intelligence in Food Industry Companies in Hodeidah Governorate

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of talent management (TM), encompassing (talent attraction, talent development, talent motivation, and talent retention), on emotional intelligence (EI), encompassing (self-awareness, emotion management, social skills, and empathy) in food industry companies in Hodeidah Governorate. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, a sample of 194 administrators from the targeted companies was surveyed. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS, employing statistical measures such as mean, standard deviation, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression. The results revealed that there is a significant impact of TM on EI. In particular, talent development and talent retention were individually found to have a significant impact on EI, whereas talent attraction and talent motivation showed no impact on EI in the targeted companies. The study concludes that enhancing talent development and retention is a crucial factor in strengthening managers’ EI, thereby underscoring their role in supporting organizational success and sustainability.
