The Role of Incentive Systems in Improving the Job Performance of Employees in Government Executive Offices in Ma'rib Governorate

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role of incentive systems and their impact on improving the job performance of employees in government executive offices in Ma'rib Governorate. A descriptive-analytical approach was used, and a questionnaire was designed as a data collection tool. The study population consisted of employees in government executive offices in Ma'rib Governorate (Health, Education, Industry and Commerce, Finance, Taxes, Civil Service, Sanitation and Improvement Fund, and General Electricity Corporation). The population includes employees in administrative, supervisory, and specialized positions, from the rank of (Director General, Deputy Director General, Department Manager, Deputy Department Manager, Head of Department, and Deputy Head of Department) for each office, totaling (103) employees. A complete census survey was used, where (103) questionnaires were distributed, and (91) questionnaires were retrieved, of which (87) questionnaires were valid. The SPSS statistical program was used to analyze the data. The study findings revealed that there is a significant positive correlation between the incentive system and the level of job performance of employees. As incentives increase, the level of performance of employees in government executive offices in Ma'rib Governorate also increases.
