The Impact of Information Technology Governance and Management Based on COBIT 2019 Framework on Organizational Performance: A Field Study at the Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of governance and management of information technology (IT) according to the COBIT 2019 framework on organizational performance at the Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation (PTC). The researchers employed the descriptive and analytical approach to address the questions of the study and test its hypotheses. A questionnaire was used to collect data from the leaders of the Yemeni PTC Headquarters, comprising 203 individuals. The number of valid questionnaires for analysis was 178. The findings revealed a statistically positive impact of IT governance and management according to the COBIT 2019 framework on organizational performance in the PTC. In addition, the study found average levels of organizational performance, IT governance implementation according to the COBIT 2019 framework, and IT management practices according to the COBIT 2019 framework within the corporation.
